Tailore is where you find a studio, agree what is being made, and pay for it - with the whole conversation, the measurements and the money in one place.
Find a studio
Browse studios by what they make, where they are, and the cultural style of the work. Every studio page shows real photographs of pieces that studio has made.
Send an inquiry
Describe the piece, when you need it, roughly what you want to spend, and how you would like to receive it. You are not committing to anything - an inquiry starts a conversation.
Agree the terms
The studio sends a proposal: the price, what the deposit is and whether it is refundable, the timeline, how many fittings are included, and how the piece reaches you.
Nothing starts until you approve it. If something is wrong, the studio can revise the proposal and you approve the new one instead.
Pay the deposit
You pay through Tailore by card. The studio starts work once the deposit clears, and the balance is due later in the project - under the schedule you both approved.
Measurements and fittings
The studio asks for the measurements it needs, one field at a time, with instructions for each. If a measurement looks wrong they ask you to redo just that one.
If the studio offers fittings or consultations, they propose times from hours they have actually opened and you pick one. Either of you can ask to move an appointment.
Delivery and completion
The studio ships the piece or gets it ready for pickup, and you confirm when it arrives. The project closes when you confirm it is complete - not when the studio says so.
Once it is complete you can review the studio, and the studio can review you. Neither review is visible until both are in, or until the review window closes.
About money
- What does Tailore cost me?
- Nothing. Clients pay the price they agreed with the studio. Tailore takes its commission from the studio.
- When do I pay?
- On the schedule in the proposal you approved - usually a deposit before work starts and the balance later. Tailore only asks you for money the studio has actually requested.
- Can I get a refund?
- Refunds are issued by the studio, and what you get back depends on the deposit terms you approved and how far the work has gone. If you and the studio agree to cancel, you agree the split as part of that.
- What if something goes wrong?
- You can report an issue on the project. That pauses completion and delivery steps until it is resolved, and both of you can see it.
