Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 - last updated August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tailore LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Tailore," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use Tailore's websites, applications, marketplace, communications, payment-enabled project tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Policy applies to Clients, designers and Studios, visitors, prospective users, and other people who interact with the Service. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of Studios, Stripe, carriers, social networks, or other third parties that process information under their own terms.
1. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide, information generated through your use of the Service, and information received from service providers and other lawful sources.
Account and contact information
This may include your name, email address, telephone number, password or authentication information, preferred language, country or region, profile photo, role, and communication preferences.
Studio and business information
If you create or operate a Studio, we may collect your Studio name, business name, business type, portfolio, specialties, service areas, location, lead times, pricing information, tax and verification status, payout status, and other information needed to operate a public Studio profile or comply with marketplace requirements.
Identity, verification, tax, and payout information
Tailore or its providers may collect identity documents, date of birth, business registration information, tax identification information, bank or payout information, beneficial-owner or representative information, sanctions-screening results, and related verification records. Stripe or another verification provider may collect and retain much of this information directly. Tailore generally receives verification status and limited supporting information rather than complete payment-card or bank credentials.
Project, sizing, and measurement information
We collect project briefs, style preferences, event dates, garment details, sizes, measurements, fit preferences, photos, sketches, inspiration images, material selections, approvals, revisions, shipping information, and related project records. Measurements and photographs may reveal sensitive characteristics. Do not submit information that is unnecessary for the project.
Communications and support information
We collect messages, files, inquiry and project communications, support requests, reports, dispute information, and feedback sent through the Service or to Tailore. We may monitor or review communications when reasonably necessary to provide support, prevent fraud, enforce our policies, protect users, or comply with law.
Transaction information
We receive transaction amount, currency, project reference, payment and refund status, fees, payout status, billing and shipping details, limited payment-method information, and information about disputes or chargebacks. Complete card details are processed by Stripe or another payment provider and are not stored by Tailore unless expressly disclosed.
Device, usage, and technical information
We may collect IP address, device and browser type, operating system, identifiers, language, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages, pages viewed, searches, clicks, session information, error logs, security events, cookie and similar-technology data, and dates and times of activity.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from payment and verification providers, authentication providers, analytics and advertising providers, carriers, fraud-prevention services, other users, public sources, and authorities where permitted by law. For example, a Client or Studio may provide information about the other party when reporting a project issue.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, and maintain accounts;
- provide Studio profiles, listings, search, discovery, inquiries, messaging, projects, measurements, approvals, reviews, and other marketplace features;
- process transactions, fees, refunds, disputes, payouts, tax reporting, and related records;
- connect Clients and Studios and share project information needed to perform an accepted project;
- verify identity, business, account ownership, payment eligibility, and compliance;
- communicate about accounts, projects, payments, security, policy changes, support, and Service updates;
- personalize search results, recommendations, onboarding, and user experience;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, counterfeit activity, infringement, security incidents, and other violations;
- moderate content and enforce our Terms, Designer Agreement, and policies;
- operate, troubleshoot, analyze, secure, and improve the Service;
- develop and test new features, including automated or AI-assisted tools, subject to the disclosures and controls in this Policy;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- carry out other purposes that we disclose when collecting the information or that you direct or authorize.
We do not use measurements, private project photos, or private messages for unrelated advertising. We do not permit an AI provider to use private Tailore user content to train a general-purpose model unless we clearly disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by law.
3. Legal bases for processing in certain regions
Where the law requires a legal basis, Tailore processes personal information as necessary to perform a contract with you, take steps at your request before entering a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, or act with your consent.
Legitimate interests may include operating and improving the Service, preventing fraud, securing accounts, supporting users, enforcing marketplace rules, and understanding Service performance. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, although withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Between Clients and Studios
When you send an inquiry, accept a proposal, or participate in a project, we share relevant profile, project, measurement, shipping, approval, communication, and transaction-status information with the other party. Studios' public profile information may be visible to anyone. Client information is not public unless the Client chooses to publish it or a feature clearly states otherwise.
Service providers
We disclose information to providers that support hosting, cloud storage, authentication, communications, customer support, analytics, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, identity verification, tax reporting, file storage, shipping, and other operations. They may process information only for the contracted purpose or as otherwise permitted by law and their applicable terms.
Payments, payouts, and identity and business verification are handled by Stripe, and optional sign-in is provided by Google. A current list of the other service providers Tailore relies on is available on request using the contact details in section 17.
Payment, verification, and financial partners
Stripe and related financial partners may receive account, identity, transaction, tax, and payout information. Their processing is governed by their own privacy notices in addition to the instructions Tailore gives them.
Analytics and advertising partners
If you consent or the law otherwise permits, we may disclose identifiers, device information, and usage activity to analytics or advertising partners to measure traffic, improve the Service, or evaluate marketing. A current list of these partners is available on request using the contact details in section 17. We do not disclose private messages, measurements, complete payment credentials, or private project files for targeted advertising.
In regions whose law requires prior consent - the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland - nothing in this category loads or sends until you accept it. Elsewhere, analytics is active by default and can be turned off at any time - no account is needed; the Cookie Policy page carries the control - while advertising technologies load only after you affirmatively accept them regardless of region. See section 6 and the Cookie Policy for the control.
Tailore does not sell personal information for money. Some laws define certain analytics or advertising disclosures as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged. Where those laws apply, you may use our cookie controls or contact us to opt out.
Legal, safety, and enforcement disclosures
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful government request; enforce agreements and policies; investigate fraud, safety, infringement, or security concerns; protect Tailore, users, or the public; collect amounts owed; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business transactions
We may disclose or transfer information in connection with financing, due diligence, a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, insolvency, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
At your direction
We disclose information when you request, authorize, or intentionally make it public.
5. Public information and user content
Studio names, profile images, biographies, locations shown at the city, region, or country level, specialties, listings, portfolios, reviews, and other information designated as public may be indexed by search engines and viewed, copied, or shared by others.
Do not publish a home address, government identifier, complete payment information, or another person's private information in a public profile or listing. Tailore may remove or limit public information that creates a privacy, safety, fraud, or legal risk.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Tailore uses cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, performance, and, where enabled, advertising. Some technologies are necessary for the Service to function. Others are used only with consent where required.
In regions whose law requires prior consent - the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland - non-essential technologies load only after you accept them, through a prompt offering Essential only and Accept as equal choices. Elsewhere, analytics is active by default and advertising still waits for your affirmative acceptance. Anyone can change the state at any time using the control on the Cookie Policy page; signed-in users will also find it under Account settings, then Preferences, then Share usage analytics. See the Tailore Cookie Policy for the full description.
7. Communications
We send transactional communications about account verification, security, projects, messages, payments, refunds, payouts, shipping, policy changes, and support. You generally cannot opt out of communications necessary to provide or secure the Service while your account remains active.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. Even after opting out of marketing, you may still receive transactional communications.
8. Automated and AI-assisted features
Tailore may offer tools that draft, summarize, translate, organize, recommend, or otherwise assist with content. These tools may process prompts, listing details, project context, or other information submitted for the feature. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and users remain responsible for reviewing them.
We limit the information sent to providers to what is reasonably necessary for the feature and require providers to protect it through contractual or technical measures where appropriate. Do not submit confidential third-party information, government identifiers, complete payment credentials, or information that is unnecessary for the feature.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain project and transaction records, comply with tax, accounting, anti-fraud, payment, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect users.
Retention periods vary by information type and context. Account data may be retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure. Transaction, tax, payout, and dispute records may be retained for legally required periods. Project messages and files may be retained for support, safety, evidence, and recordkeeping, then deleted or de-identified according to Tailore's retention schedule.
You may request deletion, but we may retain information that is required by law, necessary to complete a transaction, needed to prevent fraud or abuse, or otherwise permitted by law. Backups may retain information for a limited period before deletion through normal rotation.
10. Security
Tailore uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure authentication, monitoring, backups, and service-provider reviews.
No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong unique password, protecting your devices and authentication methods, and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and appeal a denied request.
You may update certain information through account settings. To submit another request, contact us using the information below. We may verify your identity before completing a request and may deny or limit a request where permitted by law. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable, subject to verification of authority.
Tailore will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If a request is denied and the law provides an appeal right, the response will explain how to appeal.
California disclosures
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act when Tailore meets the law's applicability requirements, including rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Tailore does not sell personal information for money. Where Tailore engages in activity legally treated as sharing or targeted advertising, applicable opt-out controls will be provided.
California's "Shine the Light" law may allow certain residents to request information about disclosures for third parties' direct marketing. Tailore does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing without permission.
EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If applicable law in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive portable data, and complain to a supervisory authority. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing.
12. International data transfers
Tailore is based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries where Tailore or its providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where required, Tailore uses recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or another lawful mechanism. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
13. Children's privacy
Tailore accounts and marketplace transactions are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. Tailore is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from them.
An adult may purchase clothing for a minor and provide the minor's measurements or photos when the adult has authority and the information is reasonably necessary for the project. Do not publish a minor's full name, contact information, school, precise location, or other unnecessary information. If you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us.
14. Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting, but there is no uniform industry response standard. Tailore does not respond to traditional Do Not Track signals.
Tailore does not currently detect Global Privacy Control or another opt-out preference signal, and we will not claim otherwise before the handling is implemented and tested. The controls described in section 6 are the working controls. In regions where Tailore asks first, the prompt fails closed: a browser that has not answered has nothing loaded for it. In other regions analytics is active by default and the same control is how you turn it off. This section will be updated when signal handling ships.
15. Third-party sites and services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Tailore is not responsible for a third party's privacy or security practices.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. We will update the version and date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits or requires otherwise.
17. Contact
For privacy questions or requests - access, correction, export, deletion, or an objection - write to privacy@tailore.fashion. That address exists so a request that starts a legal clock is separable from general support mail; it reaches the same team.
General questions may be sent to hello@tailore.fashion. Legal notices may be sent to legal@tailore.fashion.
