Reviews and Feedback Policy

Version 1.1 - last updated August 29, 2026

Reviews help Clients and Studios make informed decisions. This Policy explains who may review, what reviews must contain, how Tailore moderates them, and how feedback may be used. It forms part of the Tailore Terms of Service and Designer Agreement.

1. Genuine experience required

A review or rating must reflect the reviewer's genuine experience with the Client, Studio, inquiry, project, garment, communication, delivery, or other interaction identified by the review flow.

Tailore may limit reviews to verified accounts, accepted or completed projects, or another meaningful interaction. A user may not create a transaction, account, or project primarily to manufacture a review.

2. Client and Studio reviews

Tailore may allow Clients to review Studios and Studios to review Clients. A Client review may address communication, accuracy, design, quality, fit, timeline, shipping, service, and overall experience. A Studio review of a Client may address communication, accuracy of information, responsiveness, approvals, payment, and respectful conduct.

Reviews should address the project and conduct, not personal characteristics unrelated to the transaction.

3. Honest opinions, including criticism

Reviews may be positive, neutral, or negative. Tailore does not remove a review merely because it is critical, lowers a rating, or makes a user uncomfortable.

A reviewer should distinguish fact from opinion and avoid claiming criminal, fraudulent, or other serious misconduct without a reasonable factual basis. Tailore may request supporting information for a disputed factual claim.

4. Prohibited review content

Reviews, ratings, responses, or related communications may not contain:

  • a fake or fabricated experience;
  • content written by a person who did not have the represented experience;
  • compensation or an incentive conditioned on expressing a positive or negative sentiment;
  • an undisclosed material connection, such as ownership, employment, close family relationship, or financial interest;
  • harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, or abusive language;
  • private messages, measurements, home addresses, complete payment information, or other unnecessary personal information;
  • irrelevant advertising, links, spam, or promotion;
  • infringement or unlawful content;
  • extortion, including threatening a negative review to obtain money, free work, or an unrelated benefit;
  • retaliation for a good-faith complaint, report, refund request, or exercise of a legal right;
  • review swapping, coordinated manipulation, or instructions to evade Tailore's systems; or
  • content prohibited by the Community Standards.

5. Incentives and requests for reviews

Tailore or a user may ask for an honest review. An incentive may be offered only when it is lawful, disclosed, available without regard to whether the review is positive or negative, and not used to misrepresent the reviewer's experience.

A Studio may not offer a refund, discount, gift, additional service, or other benefit only in exchange for a positive rating, removal of honest criticism, or a particular statement. A Client may not demand a benefit in exchange for withholding or changing a negative review.

6. Timing, edits, and one-review rules

Tailore may set a review window after completion, cancellation, delivery, or another project event. The interface should disclose the window.

Tailore may permit a reviewer to edit a review during a limited period or after a documented resolution. The review may show that it was edited. Tailore may limit each party to one review per project while allowing a response or update.

If reviews are held until both parties submit or until a review period ends, the interface should explain that process.

7. Review responses

A reviewed user may be allowed to post a public response. Responses must follow the same standards and should address the issue professionally.

Do not use a response to reveal private information, threaten the reviewer, pressure the reviewer to remove content, or continue a dispute that should be handled through support.

8. Verification and labels

Tailore may label a review as connected to a verified, accepted, delivered, completed, canceled, refunded, or otherwise documented project. A label describes available platform records and is not a guarantee that every statement is true.

Tailore may identify an incentivized review where disclosure is required. Tailore will not present prototype, staff-created, founder-created, or placeholder copy as a genuine user review.

9. Moderation and removal

Tailore may use automated tools and human review to detect policy violations. We may decline to publish, edit only for formatting with the reviewer's authorization, limit visibility, remove content, or restrict an account when a review violates this Policy or law.

Tailore does not promise to investigate or decide every factual dispute. We may preserve a review when the dispute concerns differing opinions or evidence and no clear violation is shown.

Where practical, Tailore may remove only the violating portion or ask the reviewer to revise. We may act without notice when necessary for safety, privacy, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or evidence preservation.

10. Reporting and appeals

Use the review-report tool or contact hello@tailore.fashion. Identify the review, the specific rule allegedly violated, and relevant project evidence. Disagreement with a rating alone is not a policy violation.

If Tailore removes or restricts a review and an appeal process is available, the affected user may provide context or evidence. An appeal does not guarantee restoration.

11. Reviews in marketing and on the homepage

Tailore may feature genuine public reviews in marketplace pages, emails, social media, presentations, or marketing under the content license in the Terms. Tailore should present the review accurately, avoid changing its meaning, disclose material incentives, and obtain additional consent where required for a person's full name, photograph, likeness, or private project details.

Hardcoded homepage reviews must still be authentic, approved, and traceable to a real experience. Placeholder reviews must not be published as customer testimonials.

12. No endorsement or guarantee

Reviews reflect users' experiences and opinions. Tailore does not endorse every statement and does not guarantee that another user will have the same outcome.

Users should consider review volume, recency, project type, portfolio, proposal terms, verification, and their own judgment.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as review features, risks, and law change. Material changes will receive notice where required.

Questions or reports may be sent to hello@tailore.fashion.
