Protecting your account
Your password (or your Google account) is the key to your Tailore account. Here is how to keep it strong, how to reset it, what to do if you suspect a break-in, and an honest note on what Tailore does not offer yet.
Choose a strong password
Use a password that is long, unique to Tailore, and stored in a password manager rather than your memory. A reused password is the most common way accounts are taken over - a leak on any other site becomes a key to yours.
Signing in with Google is a safe alternative: there is no Tailore password to steal, and nobody is ever silently signed in - you always go through Google's own screen.
Resetting your password
Request a link from the sign-in modal
Open sign-in, enter your email, and choose Send reset link.
Check your inbox
The confirmation reads: "If an account exists for that email address, a reset link is on its way. The link expires, and can only be used once." The wording is deliberate - it never confirms whether an account exists, so nobody can use the form to probe for your address.
Choose a new password at the emailed link
Follow the link and set your new password. Success does not sign you in - sign in again with the new password.
If you think someone got in
Act in this order: change your password immediately in Security under your account settings, then contact support so the team can look at what happened. Changing the password is the one lever that locks the door today.
Tailore staff will never ask for your password
No real message from Tailore ever asks for your password, and no payment ever happens outside Tailore checkout. Anyone asking for either is not Tailore.
Everyday habits
- Sign out on shared devices: open the avatar menu and choose **Sign out**.
- Never pay or share card details outside Tailore checkout, no matter how the request is framed.
- Report suspicious messages with the flag button - "Report this message" - so the team sees them.
- Keep your password unique to Tailore and let a password manager remember it.
What Tailore does not have yet
Being straight about the current state: Tailore does not currently offer two-factor authentication, an active-sessions list, or a sign-out-everywhere button. Your password, or your Google account, is the single key - which is exactly why the habits above matter, and why changing your password is the right first move whenever something feels off.
