Connecting your payout account
Connect a payout account through Stripe so your studio can publish listings, go public, and accept projects - then read your payout status at a glance once it is live.
How payout onboarding works
Tailore pays studios through Stripe. You connect your payout account from the Earnings & Payouts page in your studio dashboard - the whole onboarding form is embedded right there, so there is no redirect to an external site and no separate Stripe dashboard to manage.
Open Earnings & Payouts
In your studio dashboard, go to Earnings & Payouts and start payout setup.
Complete the embedded Stripe form
Stripe walks you through your identity, business, and bank details inside the page. You do not need an existing Stripe account - the form sets one up as you go.
Check your status line
When everything is verified, the page shows a compact status line such as Payouts enabled · Daily payouts · Bank ••••2227, with a Manage button for any later changes.
What connecting payouts unlocks
Payouts are the gate in front of everything that brings money in. Until your payout account is connected, three things stay locked: publishing a listing, making your studio public, and accepting new projects.
| Action | The message shown |
|---|---|
| Publish a listing | "Set up payouts before publishing - clients pay deposits through your connected payout account. You can keep this as a draft until then." |
| Make your studio public | "Finish setting up payouts before making your studio public - a listed studio needs to be able to take payments. You can stay unlisted until then." |
| Accept a new project | Also requires a connected payout account. |
Drafting is never blocked. You can build your listing and prepare your studio visibility first, then connect payouts when you are ready to go live.
Supported countries
Stripe supports payouts to bank accounts in 52 countries. That includes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, most of Europe, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Morocco, and South Africa, among others.
If your country is not on the supported list, Tailore cannot send payouts there yet and payout setup will not complete. If you are unsure whether your country is covered, contact support before you build out your studio.
Your payout status and schedule
Your payout schedule - manual, daily, weekly, or monthly - lives on your connected Stripe account. Tailore reads it and shows it in your status line; it does not set it.
No promised arrival times.
Tailore does not promise when a payout will land. Per the Payment Policy: "A displayed payout date is an estimate. Stripe or Tailore may delay a payout for verification, fraud prevention, legal process, suspected policy violations, negative balances, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, or other legitimate risk-management reasons."
Before your first payout, the page simply says: "No payouts yet. Your first payout is sent automatically once funds become available." For how settled payments become payouts - pending balance, available balance, and the Payouts tab - see Final payments and payout timing.
Common questions
No. The embedded form on Earnings & Payouts creates and verifies your payout account as part of setup.
No. The platform fee is deducted from your side of each payment - clients are never shown a Tailore service fee. See Platform fees and installment plans.
Use the Manage button on your payout status line. It opens the same embedded Stripe experience where you first onboarded.
Once funds become available on Stripe's side, your first payout is sent automatically on your payout schedule. Tailore does not promise a specific arrival date.
